Chandigarh, March 29

A seminar on statutory bank audit was organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) here.

Over 400 CAs attended the seminar and became familiar with latest guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India concerning the auditing process. 

In his address, SBI chief general manager Anik Kishora said CAs should act responsibly in curbing the misuse of public money deposited in banks to further improve the nation’s economy.

Earlier, newly elected ICAI chairman Naveen Soni welcomed the delegates. He spoke about 

the challenges in 

auditing process and their solutions. 

Also present were chartered accountants Ramesh A Shetty from New Delhi and SK Arora from Allahabad Bank.
