UT Adviser Vijay Kumar Dev today inaugurated the Panjab University Institute of Social Sciences Education and Research (PU-ISSER) at the PU. Students can study for five-year integrated programme in social science (honours) course at the PU-ISSER.
Addressing the inaugural address, Dev appreciated the setting up of the PU-ISSER and said the need of society had been fulfilled. He said science and social science both stand at the same pedestal and were equally important.
Later, UT Adviser Vijay Kumar Dev, UT Finance Secretary Sarvjit Singh and Panjab University Vice-Chancellor visited the South Campus of the university in Sector 25 to have assessment of new infrastructure and ongoing projects such as alumni house, international students’ hostel and boys’ and girls’ hostels.
Addressing the function, the Panjab UniversityVice-Chancellor recalled the genesis and evolution of the PU-ISSER.
