The investiture ceremony of the middle and senior school of St Joseph’s Academy for the academic year 2016-17 was held in the school auditorium here.
Gaurav Sah, an alumnus of the school, was the chief guest for the day. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed by a prayer dance.
In the middle school investiture ceremony, the newly appointed office-bearers were honoured with badges. The beautiful rendition of the songs, ‘Yeh Rasta Hai’ and ‘The power of your love’ by the school choir left the audience spellbound. Next in line was the scintillating and jazzy performance of the dancers from the senior school.
Following this was the senior school investiture. Principal Brother Dennis Joseph administered the oath of office to the senior school council members. Kshitij Bisht was the head boy and Muskaan Malhotra took up the office of the head girl. The chief guest shared his nostalgic moments in the school and motivated the students with his inspiring speech. The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks by Brother Dennis Joseph.
