After 27 weeks of training, 470 recruits were inducted in the Indo-Tibet Border Police (ITBP) at the training centre at Saboli village today.

ITBP DG Krishna Chaudhry took the salute at an impressive march past of the jawans on the occasion. Considering their nature of duties in hostile terrains of the border, the force was being equipped with the latest technology soon. “You have been trained in all activities including handling arms during conflicts and also performing of duties during peace times,” he added.

He also exhorted them to diligently and honestly perform their duties towards the people as members of a disciplined paramilitary force.
