Jayanthi’s Saraswathi Veena mesmerises

Dr Jayanthi Kumaresh performed a Saraswathi Veena at the Unison World School, organised by SPIC MACAY, here today.
The performance by Dr Kumaresh mesmerised the students. From the age of three, she started her journey with her mother Lalgudi Srimati R Rajalakshmi as the first guide. She has been honoured with titles like Veena Nada Mani, Kalaimani, Sangeet Choodamani, Sathyashree and GaanaVaridhi.
She has also been invited by prestigious organisations across the globe like Theatre de la Ville and Musee Guimet in Paris, the UN, the World Music Centre (New York) and the Woodstock festival in the United States, several Indo-German Societies, the Darbar Festival in the UK and by the Indian Embassy at Sharjah as the cultural ambassador of India. She was accompanied by Jayachandra Rao on the mridangam and Pramath Kiran on morching and tabla.
