JCB machine impounded

Nurpur, February 21

The Indora police today impounded one JCB machine and a tipper from the Chakki-Mazra Hhud near Dhangupeer. Kangra SP Sanjiv Gandhi said a patrolling team received information about illegal mining going on in the Mazra Khud. Drivers of the JCB and the tipper tried to flee, but were nabbed by the police. The SP said owner of the earth excavating machinery would be booked after demarcation of the spot. An FIR under Sections 379 and 447 of the IPC and Section 21 of Mining and Mineral Act has been lodged.
