A vandalised amusement park in Murthal on NH-1 presents a picture of the mayhem caused during the Jat agitation. KK Wadhwa, owner of Jurassic Park, said a mob of nearly 300 people vandalised the park.

“The mob burnt the sculptures of dinosaurs installed at the gate on Sunday. In the wee hours of Monday, the goons came in large numbers and broke the main gate and set on fire a hotel, a bar, a restaurant, a banquet hall, rooms, and a newly constructed pandal. Before this, they looted all belongings,” he said. Delhi-based Wadhwa, a native of Rohtak, said the miscreants consumed all liquor and threatened the employees if they interfered.

On Wadhwa’s plea, a bus of CRPF personnel and a few local policemen were sent to the park. He claimed they were ill-equipped to handle the mob and had to leave.

He claimed to have suffered a loss of around Rs 25 crore. He said he had taken loan of Rs 10 crore besides money borrowed from his relatives.
