Dehradun, March 15

A state-level karate championship concluded here.

Mountaineer Padam Shri Chandraprabha Aitwal handed over the prizes to the winners. Suyog Thapa from Champawat district won gold in the kate male category. Prashant from Tehri bagged silver medal in the same category. Kanupriya Bhatia won gold in kate female category.

Ujjawal Kumar of Haridwar won gold in 55 kg kumite event. Gaurav Thapa from Champawat won gold in 65 kg category in kumite event and Rajat from Tehri Garhwal won gold in 76 kg category in kumite event. — TNS
