Knee replacement: Sohana hospital introduces advanced implant

Dr Gagandeep Singh Sachdeva and Dr Vinod Kumar of Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib (C) Eye Hospital, Sohana, today announced the use of a new advanced implant for total knee replacement. The implant, developed and manufactured in the USA, has been implanted in a patient at the hospital. The implant, Triathlon 3D, has several advantages over the conventional implant. A special surgical technique is used for this implant and the patient is able to do the normal activities of a knee joint like squatting and bending. — OC
