Leaders pay tributes to Swami Dayanand Giri

Pauri Garhwal MP and Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Defence BC Khanduri expressed sorrow over the death of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s spiritual Guru Swami Dayanand Giri.
“Swami Dayanand Giri’s was an authority in Vedas and Upnishads,” Khanduri said in his tributes. He also recalled the late Swami’s contribution in spreading spiritualism in the society.
Congress President Kishore Updhayay too expressed grief. He visited Dayanand Ashram in Rishikesh to lay wreath on the mortal remains of Swami Dayanand Giri. He appreciated the late Swami’s contribution to social service and spiritualism. “Despite being born in Tamil Nadu, Swami Dayanand Giri made Uttarakhand his karmabhumi and even selected banks of Rishikesh for his samadhi,” Upadhyay said.
Upadhyay called upon the people of Uttarakhand to follow the path shown by Swami Dayanand Giri in service of society and humanity as a whole.
Governor Paul mourns Dayanand’s death
Governor KK Paul has expressed deep grief at the demise of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. He had ‘antim darshan’ of Swamiji at Dayanand Ashram in Rishikesh and paid his respects. He prayed to the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul.
