Girls hit your hallelujah! It’s the return of the classic funk pop as Bruno Mars and English producer Mark Ronson’s brand new single Uptown Funk from the fourth studio album, Uptown Special, peaks on Billboard Hot 100 at number two position. The song was written by Ronson, Jeff Bhasker, Mars, Philip Lawrence, Devon Gallaspy and Nicholaus Williams; with Ronson credited for producing it as well. The single has been commercially successful, topping the charts in several countries, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland and the United Kingdom. The single holds the title of the all-time most-streamed track in a single week in the United Kingdom, having been streamed a record 2.49 million times in a single week.
Very groovy
I think I can safely give two hoots for some George Kranz scatting and a Nile Rodgers guitar riff happening in the song. However, what I really love about the song is that 80s pop music vibe. It’s so damn groovy!

Superb lyrics
Well, honestly, the song reminds me of Bee Gees and the rap swing lyrics are just superb, especially, ‘I called the police and the fireman, I’m so hot that I make the dragon wanna retire man!’ It’s a cool funky song. I love it!
