Loot attempt at SBoP branch

An attempt was made to loot the Kalyan branch of the State Bank of Patiala (SBoP). The miscreants, however, failed in their attempt as they could not enter the bank’s chest despite the institution remaining closed for the past two days due to holidays.
The matter came to light this morning when the bank staff reached the branch and found signs of forced entry into the bank through air-conditioning ducts. However, nothing was found missing from the bank, except the CCTV recording equipment.
Branch manager Ani Kamdi said they had lodged a complaint with the police in this regard.
The police said a case under relevant sections of the law had been registered against unidentified persons and the matter was being investigated.
