Minister of State for External Affairs Gen VK Singh (retd) today paid tributes to Maharana Pratap and called upon members of the Rajput community to serve the nation.
He was in Barara to attend an event organised by the Rajput Sabha. He also inaugurated a statue of Mahrana Pratap. He said, “Maharana Pratap didn’t struggle for any particular caste, religion or area. He struggled to uphold the pride of the nation. The members of the Rajput community should take lessons from his life, understand the value of education and come forward to serve the nation.” Ratan Lal Kataria, Ambala MP, announced to give Rs 11 lakh from the MPLAD fund for the construction of Maharana Pratap Bhawan, which is to be constructed in Barara. — TNS
