Major fire at auto parts unit in G’gaon

GURGAON: A major fire broke out in an automotive parts manufacturing factory today morning; 18 fire tenders took about 14 hours to douse the flames.

A major fire broke out in an automotive parts manufacturing factory today morning; 18 fire tenders took about 14 hours to douse the flames. The blaze destroyed a major section of the ASK Automotive factory, located in a double-storey building at IMT Manesar’s Sector 4.

“The fire fighters worked hard for hours to control the blaze that broke out due to a short circuit around 1 am. The losses have not been ascertained so far. Fire officer Birbal Sharma received minor injuries,” said fire officer Isham Singh Kashyap. — TNS
