Dehradun District Magistrate (DM) Ravinath Raman chaired a meeting of the Sahastradhara Tourism Destination Management Committee at his office here today.

Local representatives of the zila panchayat, kshetra panchayat, gram panchayat local stake holders and the police attended the meeting.

The DM directed the officials concerned to make adequate arrangements of parking, maintaining law and order and collection of users’ charges.

He directed the Apar Mukhya Nagar Adhikari to work with gram panchayat members, kshetra panchayat members and ward members and formulate a proposal for user charges.

He directed the officials concerned to ensure that 10 local persons were provided on-the-spot employment on the recommendation of the management committee. He said user charge had been increased by 30 per cent in the past year for funding to provide employment to locals.
