Makeover for two railway stations in Jammu region

To redevelop Jammu Tawi and Udhampur railway stations as per the international standards, the state government has constituted a standing committee to facilitate clearance from the quarters concerned.
The 10-member committee will be headed by the Financial Commissioner, Planning and Development Department. He will be the chairman of the committee.
The committee members will be the Administrative Secretary, Forest Department, Administrative Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department, Administrative Secretary, Power Development Department, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Administrative Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Department, Administrative Secretary, Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and Flood Control Department, Administrative Secretary, Revenue Department, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, and Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur.
The committee has been constituted to facilitate issuance of the clearance and no objection certificates from local bodies in a time-bound manner for redevelopment of Jammu Tawi and Udhampur railway stations on international standards.The committee shall be serviced by the Planning and Development Department.
