Nag Panchami was celebrated with religious fervour here today. Devotees thronged the Nag Devta Temple on the Mackinson Cart road in a large number and offered milk and ghee to Nag Devta, the local deity, by observing all customary rituals.

Residents of Bhatta, and Kyarkuli villages and Mussoorie started arriving at the temple since early morning today. They prayed for peace and prosperity of their family and the region. The temple priest performed a yajna.

State president of the cultural preservation and tourism promotion committee Jot Singh Gunsola, Municipal Council president Manmohan Singh Mall, ward members Jasvir Kaur, Virendar Panwar, founder of the Naag Devta Temple Committee Amar Singh Kotal and others were present on the occasion.
