Karnal, January 15
A 19-year-old girl was found dead at the golf course of Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban, today. The deceased, Aarti of Sirsi village, was missing since yesterday.
The family members alleged she was murdered by head constable Ramnath, who was posted at the Academy.
A case has been registered against the head constable under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, on the basis of a complaint by the deceased’s mother, Krishna Devi.
Gaurav Punia, SHO, Madhuban, said the body had no signs of injury, adding the viscera samples of the deceased had been sent for forensic examination to ascertain the cause of death.
