Harjot Singh Bains, the Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Sanhewal, is high on campaigning these days and his mother Palwinder Kaur is leading from the front as the elections are just round the corner.
Harjot, his mother and sister Anmol Kaur are leaving no stone unturned in reaching out to the masses and appealing to them to vote in favour of Bains.
Palwinder says: “A mother will always be there for her kids during the thick and thin and now that my son is going through an important phase of his life, how can I leave him behind? I am walking with him hand-to-hand and helping him in every possible way.”
While meeting residents of her constituency, she said: “I am urging them to bring a change and am meeting everybody by going door to door and asking people to vote in favour of my son.”
Meanwhile, Anmol Kaur is targeting the youth. “Youth is the future of democracy. I am urging the youth to see the vision of AAP and vote for my brother if they want to bring in a change in the society. We need to initiate the change to see a change in the society,” she said.
Harjot’s day starts around 7 am, but he leaves home without breakfast these days. “Life is hectic these days, so much that I have completely forgotten about my meals. Wherever I go, people offer meals and sometimes party workers arrange it. These days breakfast, lunch and dinner is among the public only,” said Bains.
“In the evening when I return home, which is usually late, I have my dinner with my supporters. I discuss things with my mother and sister and also plan what areas we will be visiting the next day,” he said.
