Rewari, April 20
A state-level conference of the Rajput community held at Jaisingh Khera village last evening urged the Union Government to name the National High No 8 (Delhi-Ajmer) after Hindu king Prithviraj Chauhan.
The conference presided over by Kunwar Vikram Singh also unanimously passed a resolution seeking a Rajput Kalyan Board in Haryana on the lines of Punjab and HP, said Naresh Chauhan, coordinator of the conference.
Chauhan said the Rajput community had decided to organise special camps across the state to motivate educated youth towards self-employment avenues instead of hankering after government jobs. Rajputs from Haryana and Rajasthan participated in the conference.
