Nangal-Amritsar daily express train chugs off

The Northern Railway authorities have introduced a daily express train between Nangal and Amritsar which commenced its regular run from today.
With the new train, city residents will get regular connectivity to Anandpur Sahib, Ropar and an additional train for Beas and Amritsar. They will also get another weekly premium express train for the holy shrine of Sri Mata Vaishno Devi, Katra, later in the month.
Railway officials said 14505/14506 daily express train would depart from Nangal Dam at 7.30 am and reach Amritsar at 1.05 pm. On its return journey, it will leave Amritsar at 2.15 pm and reach Nangal Dam at 7.50 pm. With general second class accommodation, the train will have commercial halts at Anandpur Sahib, Ropar, Kurali, Morinda, Samrala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Beas.
The Northern Railway authorities said 05029/05030 Gorakhpur-Shrimata Vaishno Devi Katra-Gorakhpur Weekly Premium Express Summer Special Train would make 20 trips from April 24, 2015, to June 28, 2015.
The train will depart from Gorakhpur every Friday from April 24 at 8.55 pm to reach Shrimata Vaishno Devi Katra at 10.50 PM the next day. In the return direction, the trains will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra every Sunday from April 26 at 3.45 am to reach Gorakhpurat at 6.45 am the next day.
Consisting of one AC II Tier, two AC III Tier, 10 sleeper class besides disabled-friendly second class-cum-luggage van coaches, the train will halt at Basti, Gonda, Lucknow, Ludhiana and Jammu Tawi stations.
