I get more spiritual during Navratri. But that doesn’t mean I don’t freak out! I have sweet memories of dancing the whole night with my friends. This year also, I am heading out with my friends and would be part of few events.
Mumbai masala: Pranitaa Pandit
I love this festival and have fond memories of celebrating Navratri. During college days when I was in Pune, we used to have a lot of fun. I remember going out with my friends and dancing the night away.
Traditional fervour: Ankit Bathla
Navratri is a time to worship the goddess Shakti. I remember my grandmother would take us to the temple every day in the morning. After that, we would have Khetri in the house, and finally the puri chole and halwa.

I just love this festival. There’s so much happiness all around. I remember having a blast during Navratri all through school and college. I love classic Garba songs. I don’t mind Bollywood either. Basically, whatever makes you groove.

My favourite Navratri memory is when I was in UAE and had gone for a Garba event. It’s special because there was a 75-year-old woman who couldn’t even walk, but had come for the dance! This year, I want to go to Ahmadabad because I’ve heard they have the best Dandia.

I have never been much of a Garba person. For me, these days are less about celebration and more about spiritual awakening.

I have some amazing memories of Navratri. I remember we used to organise Dandia in school. I would literally wait for the festival. This year, I am in Mumbai as I am busy with work. But I’ll try to go out, if work permits.

Navratri has always been a time for celebration. It’s all about enjoying yummy, home-cooked food and dancing the night away. And I never go to one place. This time too, I am trying to attend as many Garba events as I can.

During Navratri in my house, my mother would stop us from eating onion, garlic or non-vegetarian dishes. I am trying to visit my home in Gurgaon this year. Let’s see if there is no shoot in-between.
