Chandigarh, March 8

TS Luthra today took over as the new UT police chief. On the first day of his office, Luthra held a meeting with police officers.

Luthra is a 1990-batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre. Soon after joining office, the new IGP held a meeting with all ASPs and DSPs.

Luthra is also a chartered accountant. Besides, he is a certified public accountant from the USA. He has served the Delhi Police in various capacities such as DCP (West), DCP (South-West), DCP (Crime) and Joint CP of the Northern, Central and South-West Ranges. He is also a recipient of the President’s Medal for Meritorious Service and Distinguished Service.
