New office-bearers of Sewa Samiti

The Sewa Samiti, a social organisation, has formed its new executive working committee for 2015-16.The following persons were elected office-bearers of the samiti.

President— Kshemanand Joshi; vice presidents— Ishwari Devi, Tilak Raj; sub general secretary— Santosh Mittal; sub secretary— Ram Das Jain; treasurer— Gyan Chand; and finance- in-charge— Ashish Goyal.

During the meeting, Ajay Aggarwal, Mukesh Tyagi, Chinta Singh, Ram Das Jain, Santosh Mittal, Shiv Shankar Lal Gupta, Raghu Nandan Tiwari, Sharad Sharma, Suresh Bhandari, Jitendra Kumar Jain, Jagat Singh Rawat, Hari Ram Kumar, Praveen Jindal, Chandra Sekhar Rohella, Rajendra Nath Goswami, Lalitendra Nath, Tilak Raj, Sardar Ajeet Singh and Vinod Chand Sharma were among those present.

Elsewhere, the Jat Maha Sabha has expressed their displeasure against the Supreme Court judgement on reservation to the community.

Under the aegis of Jat Maha Sabha, Panchpuri, the community representatives said denying reservation to a certain community was against the fundamental rights and they were accorded reservation through a Parliamentary process.

Dev Pal Singh Rathi, president of the sabha, said they would be forced to intensify their agitation in the coming days if Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance didn’t take any step for a review petition in the Supreme Court.

He said members of the sabha would also try to meet the Prime Minister and apprised him of their demand.
