A group of 23 students of the Rotary Club and the Social Service Club of St Joseph’s Academy (SJA) visited Prem Dham Ashram and Cheshire Home today. The visit to Prem Dham Ashram was an overwhelming experience for the students as its residents welcomed them with open arms. The students had an interactive session with them wherein the residents shared their life experiences, which were extremely inspirational. The students sang songs, that brought smiles on their faces.
The students also visited Cheshire Home. They were amazed to see how enthusiastic the children of Cheshire Home were despite their disabilities. The children were ecstatic on meeting the Josephites. It was an unforgettable experience for the students as they got a chance to serve others. The students learned that the pleasure and contentment one gets when one serves others could not be matched by worldly pleasures. The effort had initiative and guidance of principal Bro Dennis and two teachers of the school S Tiwari and Dr S Sabherwal.
