Shruti crowned ‘Miss Maternity Queen’

Panchkula-based dentist Dr Shruti Manocha was crowned ‘Miss Maternity Queen’, whereas Tanya and Harpreet were declared second and third runners-up, respectively, during the second ‘Mom and Baby Day Out’ organised here today. The event was organised by doctor couple RS Bedi and GS Bedi.

Mothers-in-law walking the ramp along with their daughters-in-law was the highlight of the event, which was telecast live on the Internet.

SSP Sukhchain Singh Gill, who was the chief guest, said, “This is indeed a unique concept”.

Besides the ramp show, ‘Maternity Queen Pageant’, ‘Chandigarh Prince & Princess’ contest and kids’ activities were the highlights of the day. Dr RS Bedi said: “Motherhood is the most fulfilling yet a serious business and it starts before conception. Even little negligence can ruin this great experience”. — TNS
