Any mistake in the Aadhar card issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), can now be rectified through Aadhar Self Service Update Portal i.e. ssup.uidai.gov.in.
Charanjeet Singh, district coordinator of Suvidha Centre of Unique Identification Cards (UID), Mini-Secretariat, said, “Sometimes one comes across spelling mistakes in the previously issued UID/Aadhar card. Applicants who have changed their phone numbers mentioned in the previous Aadhar card can also use this online portal facility. Correction in the spellings or in the phone numbers can be done through online portal of Unique Identification Cards.”
Charanjeet further said for this correction, one would have to attach a scanned copy of his previously issued Aadhar card with the correction form.
Sometimes applicants complain that they did not get their Aadhar card although they applied for it months ago. In such cases, the applicants can apply again through this online portal after visiting any local UID centre.
Reportedly, there are more than 36 lakh people in the district who have been issued Aadhar cards by the Unique Identification Authority of India, Bangalore.
