Online appointment for new RCs, DLs in Karnal

The Karnal administration has decided to initiate “e-appointment” for registration certificates (RCs) of vehicles and driving licences (DL) at the e-disha centre. The authorities claimed that Karnal would be the first district to do so in Haryana.

All authorised dealers of four-wheelers have been contacted for the facility. They would have a log-in and password to access the facility while the main sever would be at the mini-secretariat, said J. Ganesan, DC.

He added that two days Tuesday and Thursday in a week have been earmarked for those taking online appointment. Except for women and persons above 60 years, Rs 10 extra would be charged for availing this facility. The appointment for new four-wheelers would be given by the authorised dealers at the time of purchasing a vehicle while for others the administration has made a provision on its website karnal.nic.in and on mobile app sigma.
