Volunteers of Making a Difference by Being the Difference (MAD) completed their 10th mural painting near Clock Tower here today. Earlier, they had beautified shabby walls at Jakhan, Bhandari Bagh, Old Survey Road and Neshvilla Road.
More than 20 volunteers participated in today’s exercise. Before making the paintings, they cleaned two walls which were in a bad shape and were being used as open public urinals.
After washing and cleaning the walls, volunteers divided themselves into two groups to carry out painting work. Nandita Khanduri and Swati Singh drew pencil sketches.
Volunteers of MAD are in the age group of 15-23 years. They organise such activities through their pocket money resources.
Passersby appreciated their efforts and some of them also showed interest in joining them. Those who actively participated included Manvenddra Rawat, Saurav Joshi, Rajat Singhal, Prasoon Garg, Saurabh Nautiyal, Alok Bhatt and Srishti Rawat.
