Vohra’s ton goes in vain as Ludhiana beat city

Despite Manan Vohra’s ton (107 off 113 balls), Chandigarh lost to Ludhiana by four wickets in the ongoing FC Mittal Trophy at PAU, Ludhiana, here.
Chandigarh made 276 for 8 in 50 overs. In reply, Ludhiana team achieved the target in 49 overs after losing six wickets. Sunny Pandey steered Ludhiana team to victory with his 116-run knock.
Earlier, Vohra and Gurkirat Walia (93) helped their team put up a respectable total. Arpit Singh (28) and Gurinder Singh (34) were the other notable contributors for the team.
For Ludhiana, Sunny Pandey (116) and Nikhil Chaudhary (57) made the target achievable for their team in 49 overs.

Patiala defeat Mohali
In the second match played at the PCA Stadium, Mohali, Patiala got better of Mohali by 112 runs and garnered four points while Mohali got zero. Batting first, Patiala scored 252 in 49.4 overs. In reply, Patiala were bundled out for 140 in 39 overs.
