A senior constable and a constable of the PCR staff was today honoured byUT IGP TS Luthra, for nabbing four persons who had robbed a Daria resident.
Senior Constable Gurmail Singh and Constable Amit Kumar were awarded with Commendation Certificate Class-I along with cash reward of Rs 1,000 each.
On August intervening night of 13 and 14, a PCR vehicle was stationed at the Housing Board light point when one person, identified as Bittu, came there and told PCR officials that four persons robbed his purse, chain, mobile phone and some other documents. He told the police that the accused ran towards the Kala Gram light point.
The PCR officials informed the control room and on their direction, PCR Officials along with the complainant began looking for the accused.
During the search, the PCR staff nabbed four persons and the complainant identified them. The belongings of the complainant was recovered from the accused who were identified as Gobinda, Om Prakash, Raju and Sagar, all residents of Panchkula.
