The nine-day Shri Ram Katha sermon being versed by revered spiritual orator Morari Bapu concluded at Parmarth Niketan Ashram Ganga ghat yesterday.

The katha was named “Green katha” as a message of conserving environment and planting saplings was given to the people.

Even Morari Bapu was handed out a Tulsi (basil) sapling by Parmarth Niketan ashram spiritual ideologue Swami Chidanand Muni Saraswati.

“Preserve and protect natural resources as well as sacred water bodies and plant and care for at least nine trees in honour of the nine-day katha, on every festival, holiday, birthday and special occasion,” said Sadhvi Bhagwati, coordinator of Shri Ram Katha.

Noted saints, political leaders, including Gurusharanandji Maharaj of Vrindavan, Shri Ramesh Bhai Oza, Yoga guru Swami Ramdev, Gayatri Shantikunj spiritual mentor Dr Pranav Pandya, Jai Ram ashram head Brahamcharya Brahamswarup, Patanjali Ayurvedic University Vice Chancellor Acharya Bala Krishan, Governor Dr KK Paul, Agriculture-Water Minister Dr Harak Singh Rawat, Urban Development Minister Preetam Singh Pawar, and a large number of local people, pilgrims and tourists attended the event.
