Terming Narendra Modi a failed Prime Minister, members of Hindu Nyay Peeth presented him with the “Bahadur Shah Zafar Award” on Friday.

Representatives of the organisation submitted the award to the PMthrough ADC, Ludhiana, Mahinder Pal Gupta. They compared the Prime Minister with emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar for not ruling over his empire with a strong hand. Similarly, the Prime Minister had also failed in bringing justice for the bereaved family of Vidhu Jain and for Geeta Diwan, they said.

Notably, Vidhu Jain (11) was burnt alive on September 30, 2013, in Malerkotla and later the investigation, which was handed over to the CBI, was inconclusive. In another case, a woman named Geeta Diwan, who was facing some gynaecological problem in 2008, was operated upon and her uterus and ovaries were removed by the doctors. The woman is bedridden since then. President of the organisation, Parveen Danga, said in both cases, the PM had ordered the CBI inquiry, but justice had not been delivered to the victims so far.
