BJP workers from Jaunsar Bavar in Dehradun district staged a demonstration in front of the District Magistrate’s office here yesterday.

The residents alleged that the health infrastructure in the Jaunsar Bavar region of Dehradun was in a poor condition. Led by BJP state working committee member Pratap Singh Rawat, they said Jaunsar Bavar, which is part of Dehradun district, had been neglected in terms of health facilities.

They said frequent incidents of road mishap in hilly roads of Jansar Bavar, many of the injured die due to lack of timely medical care.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
