The Inter-College Youth Festival 2015-16 entered its second day today at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) with poster-making, debate, clay modelling and poetic recitation/’hass rass’ events.
The participating students gave a splendid performance in the poster-making competition by expressing the theme, “child labour”, in diverse forms and colours. The students debated fiercely on the topic, “social networking acts a powerful tool in today’s society.”
In the clay modelling competition, students created beautiful objects clay.
In her remarks, Dr Neelam Grewal, Dean, Postgraduate Studies, who was the chief guest of the morning session, appreciated the creative ideas and skills of the students.
She exhorted the youth to maintain a balance between academics and co-curricular activities for all-round personality development.
The chief guest of the prize-distribution function, Dr RS Sidhu, Director of Extension Education, PAU, while addressing the students, advised them to set a goal, work hard, have positive approach and progress by leaps and bounds.
He also motivated the students to keep bringing laurels and take their alma mater to greater heights of glory in future. He distributed certificates and mementos among the prize winners.
