Q.What are the main problems in living a south-facing home? Any remedy?

A.Southwest is a very important direction and the controlling planet is Rahu.
Luck, wealth and stability are also controlled by south-west direction.
Vaastu dosha in south west will make the efforts of occupants unsuccessful and they will not get the results of their hardwork.
Some of these doshas are:
- A cut in the south-west direction.
- Underground water tank or borewell in the SW.
- Cut or extension in the west and a large opening or windows in western direction.
- Main entrance door/ gate in SW.
- Kitchen in SW.
- Slope in SW direction.
Problems
- Blocked money, financial difficulties in business. Problems linked with loan matters
- Chances of having accidents, leg pain or fractures.
- Health problems related to kidney functions.
- Instability in the life.
Remedies:
Place a Swastika, Trishul and Om on both the sides of main door. You may fix any religious symbol as per your religion.Astrologically fixing “Rahu, Ketu Yantra” Vaastu Dosh Nivarak Yantra or Mangal Yantra in SW will minimise the bad effects of this direction.
Worry over accidents
Q.Members of our family have been involved in accidents one after the other ever since we constructed our new house. Can it be due to some Vaastu dosha? if so then suggest some remedies.

A. You will need to get a Vaastu scanning of your house to know for sure whether the accidents are because of any Vaastu dosha or not. According to the Vaastu Shastra there is a link between certain Vaastu principles and accidents. Road accidents happen when the Agneya (southeast) and Nairuthi (southwest) directions have defects. Some times there is northeast cut, that time also accidents may be happen.
There are four equal parts of a house. If all parts are perfect i.e. at 90 degrees, then the house is good for the inhabitants. For example if the northeast block is extended towards north or east or northeast then it is favorable for the residents. If the southeast is extended towards east then that may create may problems for the inhabitants. If the southeast is extended towards southeast side, then that can have very adverse effects and accidents may also happen if the part is extended towards the southeast corner.
Southwest is extended towards south or west or southwest is also not good. Here you must check how much part is extended and which direction is it extended towards.
Vaastu Shastra details several situations that can increase the probability of accidents among inhabitants of a house. Some of these are:
- If southeast portion of the house extends towards east direction.
- If Agneya street focus hits the house, there is a chance for accidents.
- If northeast portion is smaller than the other portions then it may cause accidents.
- A well or a borewell should never be sunk in south direction, as it may leads to accidental demise of the female members of the family (accident is different from accidental).
Remedy: The remedy is to keep Durghatna Nashak Yantra, 8 almonds or 8 dry dates, one square piece of pure silver wrapped in a red cloth after its sanctification in the glove-box of the vehicle on Tuesday.
