PU dentists bag Famdent awards

Two dentists of Panjab University, Dr Shipra Gupta and Dr Devinder Preet Singh, were honoured with the Famdent Excellence in Dentistry Awards under the Specialist Dentist of the Year Award category. The honours were bestowed during the annual awards ceremony organised by Famdent in Mumbai.
Dr Shipra Gupta and Dr Devinder Preet Singh are associate professor and assistant professor at the Departments of Periodontics and Orthodontics, respectively.
Famdent Awards are given every year to honour professionals for dental excellence and it is known as Indian Dental Oscars. Famdent Awards put a spotlight on dentists who are shaping the future of the discipline.
Dr Shipra Gupta received the award in the Periodontics category and Devinder Preet Singh won it in the Orthodontics category.
Both of them were elated and thanked the organisers as well as to the authorities at of dental institute and university for the support.
The awards carry a citation, trophy and a plaque. Dr Shipra Gupta is the only Periodontist from the North India to win the award.
