Rahul dedicates college at Massal

Kangra, December 24

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today dedicated the first phase of Rajiv Gandhi Engineering College at Massal in Nagrota Bhagwan completed at a cost of Rs 50 crore. The total project cost will be around Rs 150 crore. The building was completed in less than one and a half years.

On arrival, Rahul Gandhi was received by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, Transport Minister GS Bali, Health Minister Kaul Singh Thakur, former minister Asha Kumari and Rajya Sabha member Viplov Thakur. He also unveiled a 12.5-foot bronze statue weighing 1700 kg of the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at Massal.

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and state Youth Congress chief Vikramaditya Singh also accompanied Rahul Gandhi.

Transport, Food and Civil Supplies Minister GS Bali accorded a rousing welcome to Rahul and thanked him for sparing his valuable time for dedicating the engineering college to the people of the state.

Rahul Gandhi visited this remote village at the request of Transport Minister GS Bali who represents this constituency.
