Srinagar, November 4
The Jammu and Kashmir Government today said the famous beverage brand Rani Juice was safe for consumption.
Director, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Kashmir, AR War in an official communication said the Rani Juice conforms to the parametres prescribed under the Food Safety and Standards Regulation 2011.
The public at large had been earlier advised to refrain from consuming batch 05 (240ml) of Rani Juice for a period of 15 days.
The directions were issued after a Srinagar resident, Yaseer Ahmad, had complained to the CAPD Department against the product.
“The Drugs and Food Control Organisation had taken various samples of Rani Juice for analysis and as per the report of food analyst the beverage conforms to the parameters prescribed under the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products and Food Additves) Regulation 2011,” he said.
