Ludhiana, May 11
A multilingual book, ‘Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib’ by Ranjodh Singh, president, Ramgarhia Girls College, was launched today at the college during a seminar on ‘Interfaith concept of universal religion’.
Religious leaders including Giani Jagtar Singh, head granthi of Darbar Sahib, Naresh Soni of Ramsharnam, Shahi Imam Maulana Habib-ur- Rehman, Rev Younas Massey, bishop diocese of Chandigarh and Rev Ramlal, the priest of Chandigarh, were present.
The seminar was presided over by SS Johl, chancellor, Central University, Bathinda. The religious gurus delivered talks on the concept of humanity.
Ranjodh Singh apprised the audience of his book which had been translated into French, Spanish and Dutch besides Punjabi, Hindi and English. The book gives a lucid account of the temple along with vivid photographs.
Johl thanked the speakers for elucidating the audience about human values. He added that the four entrances of the Golden Temple symbolised brotherhood and equality. He congratulated Ranjodh Singh for his book on ‘holiest of shrines’.
Principal Inderjit Kaur thanked the religious heads for sharing their views with the audience. She congratulated Ranjodh Singh and said the book was an outcome of years of devotion and diligence.
