After waiting for around seven months, the employees of different categories appointed at the local Civil Hospital through the Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) will get a 50 per cent hike in salary from April this year.
AH Sadiq, Chairman of the RKS-cum-SDM Nurpur, after holding a meeting with the hospital in-charge recently decided to enhance the salary of the RKS employees, besides a 5 per cent increment every year. Sadiq said the proposed hike in salary would be approved formally in the coming RKS meeting and employees would start getting the enhanced salary from April.
Significantly, the governing body of the RKS at its annual budget meeting on July 2 last year had given its nod for raising their salary by 100 per cent in the presence of local MLA Ajay Mahajan. The hospital administration had submitted this proposal to the Chief Medical Officer and the state Finance Department. Inquiries reveal the duo had allowed the hospital authorities to implement the decision of the governing body of the RKS and clarified that the body could implement such decisions at its own level.
