Opposition National Conference (NC) today slammed Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed for remaining “silent” over inflammatory and radical statements on contentious issues by BJP leaders, and accused the saffron party of not having an agenda for governance.

The NC also termed the ruling PDP as “Trojan Horse” and accused it for BJP’s advent in Jammu and Kashmir saying it did not auger well for the state’s political interests and welfare.

“The BJP’s agenda in J&K is anything but governance. The right-wing party’s advent into J&K through PDP - its Trojan Horse - does not auger well for the state’s political interests and welfare,” National Conference said in a statement after day-long convention in Pulwama district.

National Conference general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar lashed out at the BJP for issuing inflammatory and radical statements that were full of contempt and disdain towards the people of Jammu and Kashmir. — PTI
