The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has declared the result of the Common Entrance Test (CET) -2016 today. The CET-2016 was conducted on Saturday at 19 different centres in the city.
The merit of the test will be used for admission to various programmes in the university. The result is also available on PAU website www.pau.edu.
Lokesh Goyal of Sangrur stood first in the CET-2016. Controller of Examinations NK Khullar revealed that as many as 4,668 students appeared for the examination, of which 2,450 were girls and 2,218 boys.
Registrar PK Khanna said the counselling for admission to different programmes based on the CET-2016 merit list would start on July 11 at the PAL Auditorium of the university.
In all, 80 seats for BSc- Agriculture (Honours), 51 for BSc- Biotech (Honours), 51 for BTech-Food Tech, 52 for BSc- HSc (Honours), 60 for BSc-Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) and 80 for five-year integrated (Honours) programmes in Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology and Zoology would be filled during the counselling.
