The finale of the eighth season of the American show The Voice, aired on AXN, was an unbelievable night full of excitement, suspense and amazing performances. And on the night, Sawyer Fredericks of Team Pharell took the top honours. The sixteen-year-old farm boy gave Team Pharrell its first victory.
The teenage folk singer managed to beat more experienced competitors like Meghan Linsey, who used to be one half of the successful country duo Steel Magnolia (Team Blake), underdog crooner Joshua Davis (Team Adam) and 17-year-old Koryn Hawthorne, also from Team Pharrell, who has serious diva potential.
The four judges took the stage for the last performance of the night — Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Pharrell Williams, and Adam Levine honored the late BB King with their performance of The Thrill is Gone, which was probably the best performance of the night.
