Separatists Shabir, Bilal detained in Delhi

New Delhi/Srinagar, August 22
After detaining Shabir Shah at Delhi airport this evening, the Delhi Police today put senior Hurriyat leader Bilal Gani Lone under house arrest at his Greater Kailash residence in the national capital.
Confirming his detention, Hurriyat media adviser Shahid ul Islam told The Tribune that Bilal was put under house detention in Delhi this evening.
Shahid said Bilal too was part of Mirwaiz’s delegation to meet Sartaj tomorrow during a reception being hosted by the Pakistan High Commission. Shahid said Bilal had been detained at his Greater Kailash residence in the NRI Complex.
Sources said the house detention of Bilal, who is also the brother of JK minister and MLA Sajjad Gani Lone, was aimed at deterring Mirwaiz and his delegation from travelling to New Delhi on Sunday.
