Dr Pandya, while addressing the yoga experts, said, “This will be the second consecutive year when the International Yoga Day will be observed globally in which millions of people will be participating. Everyone should learn and practise yoga, making it an integral part of daily lifestyle. It enhances mental, physical, spiritual and overall personality, giving practitioner a unique solace. Mankind has been benefiting from this healthy art since centuries. Now, the western world is recognising the immense benefit of yoga. Urging participants to pass on their expertise and knowledge in yoga to maximum people, particularly rural and poor people, Dr Pandya said yoga taught people how to live a healthier and spiritual life, irrespective of caste, creed, religion or continents.

“Due to efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, yoga day has become a regular feature in United Nation’s annual calendar, which is a matter of pride for Indians. We have the responsibility to take it forward so we are holding this workshop to disseminate yoga knowledge among people in a better, simple and effective way,” said Dr Pandya, who recently refused RS nomination offer from the Union government.
