Dehradun: Under the aegis of SPIC MACAY, a sitar recital was held at the SBSPG Institute of Biomedical Sciences and Research at Balawala on Friday. Internationally renowned sitarist Purbyan Chatterjee played the sitar while maestro Akram Khan accompanied him on tabla. The programme started with the lighting of the lamp by the wife of late founder director Harinder Pal Kaur. The staff and students of the institute were spellbound at the coordination between Purbyan Chatterjee and Akram Khan. The music session was followed by an interactive session with students. TNS
