Sonepat DC to probe diversion of Yamuna waters

SONEPAT: Minister of State for Mining Nayab Singh Saini has asked Deputy Commissioner KM Pandurang to inquire into the complaints of diversion of the Yamuna waters allegedly by two mining contractors near Tikola village in the district.

Minister of State for Mining Nayab Singh Saini has asked Deputy Commissioner KM Pandurang to inquire into the complaints of diversion of the Yamuna waters allegedly by two mining contractors near Tikola village in the district. A case has also been registered at the Murthal police station in this regard.

Interacting with mediapersons before presiding over the District Public Relations and Grievances Committee meeting here today, the minister said that the DC had also been asked to get the complaints regarding cooking of worm-infested ration at an anganwari centre in Pipli village of the district.

While presiding over the meeting, besides the 15 listed complaints, as many as 118 other complainants were also redressed. Most of the complaints were related to the police investigation, road repairs, power connections, unauthorised colonies etc.

Haryana State Backward Classes Commission Chairman Ram Chander Jangra, BJP district president Dr Dharambir Nandal, district officers and other members of the grievances committee were present in the meeting. — OC
