Ludhiana:The Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) organised a special camp on property tax for the benefit of industrialists from Phase I to Phase VIII in the Focal Point. MC Zonal Commissioner Kamlesh Bansal, along with Superintendent Neeraj Jain, explained the details for self assessment and payment of property tax. CICU president Avtar Singh said property tax formula was simple. Upkar Singh, general secretary, CICU, said self assessment was the main feature of property tax and computation of the tax was simple and systematic for all types of residential, commercial, industrial and vacant plots. 10 per cent rebate was available for payment by February 28.
Over 200 patients examined
A free cancer check-up and mammography camp was organised by Indian Cancer Relief Society, Roko Cancer Charitable Trust & Little Hope Foundation at Lifeline Hospital, Gill Road, here. Over 200 patients were examined by Dr KK Nayak (Cancer Specialist), Dr Amit, Dr Nitika and Dr Ranjna from Roko Cancer Charitable Trust. More than 50 mammography were done free of cost by the team members. — TNS
