Sports stars do city proud

Fencer Kashish Sharma and skater Aryan Pal Singh Ghumman being honoured by President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. Kashish Sharma represented the nation in the Asian Junior Fencing Championship at Abu Dhabi and has 18 medals, including four back-to-back gold medals won in the foil event at the National Fencing Championship. She is a student of Chitkara International School in Sector 25. Aryan Pal was awarded for his extraordinary achievements in roller skating. He won more than 250 medals, including 150 gold, 50 silver and 50 bronze. He is a student of Class IX at St Xavier’s High School in Panchkula and a trainee at the Rolling Tigers Skating Academy.
